Lyric: captions for musicians and lyric videos
The whole line sits on screen like a lyric sheet, and each sung word lights up with a glow.
Lyric is the Subtightl caption style for musicians and lyric videos. The full line stays on screen in tightly spaced Hanken Grotesk bold, and the word being sung turns white with a coloured glow around it.

Why Lyric works
Lyric is made for singing. Words sit close together like a lyric sheet, the whole line stays visible so viewers can sing along, and the sung word lights up instead of jumping around — it follows the music rather than fighting it.
Use Lyric for
- Covers, original songs and lyric clips
- Spoken word and poetry
- Music promos for Reels and Shorts
- Any clip where the rhythm matters
Less suited to: Plain talking videos — the glow is designed for sung phrasing.
Make it yours
The glow comes in pink, lavender, gold or white, or a custom colour. Over a dark stage or a night shot the glow carries the most; on bright footage a white glow keeps it subtle. Size and position are yours too, and your last choice is remembered for the next video.
