Clean: captions for educators, explainers and podcasters
The full line stays on screen and only the colour moves — the easiest style to read along with.
Clean is Subtightl's default caption style, made for educators, explainers and podcasters. The whole line stays visible in Hanken Grotesk extra bold, and the word being spoken changes to the accent colour, with no other motion.

Why Clean works
When people are trying to follow an explanation, they want to read ahead. Clean leaves the full line in place and only moves the colour, like a karaoke wipe without the theatrics, so viewers can follow a tutorial, a podcast clip or a lesson without losing the thread.
Use Clean for
- Tutorials, explainers and how-to videos
- Podcast and interview clips
- Anything viewers need to follow, not just feel
- Longer clips where motion would distract
Less suited to: Hype edits and one-liners — Punch or Bounce give those more energy.
Make it yours
The spoken-word colour starts as teal; rose, yellow and white are one tap away, plus a custom colour. Because the line stays put, Clean tolerates a smaller size than the louder styles — useful when the speaker's face fills the frame. Size and position are yours too, and your last choice is remembered for the next video.
